2023 polls: Withdraw all your candidates from contesting, LP tells APC

…urges electorate to vote for only Peter Obi, LP candidates

The opposition Labour Party has urged the ruling All Progressives Congress to withdraw from participating in the 2023 general elections.

LP accused the ruling APC of “finally” ruining and wrecking the economy and future of Nigeria.

It advised the ruling APC to withdraw all its candidates from next year’s polls to save itself the “embarrassment of repeated public lies and falsehood that have become its main character in Government.”

The LP added that the ” die has been cast” and Nigerians had become determined to cast their votes this time round “for a presidential candidate they trust as they keep growing support for the presidency of Peter Obi in LP.”

LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Arabambi Oluwafemi Abayomi, stated this in a statement on Saturday night to commemorate Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Anniversary. The statement was titled, “Nigeria @62 Independence Anniversary: Labour Party Strongly Call For The Immediate Resignation of All APC Candidates From 2023 General Elections And Governance Now That APC Has Finally Ruined And Wrecked The Future Of Nigeria Into Insolvency And Bankruptcy.”

The party stated that the APC had in the past seven years rendered the country insolvent and bankrupt by its inept and profligate style of leadership and governance.

The statement said no responsible citizen of the country would again covertly or overtly canvass votes for the ruling APC “with its record of ethnic bigotry, official rascality and unheard of incompetence and shameful cluelessness.”

LP argued that the ruling party no longer have any moral right to seek to continue to rule or partake in the governance of the country anymore since it had woefully failed and disappointed Nigerians, who entrusted it with their mandates in 2015 and 2019.

It, therefore, urged the ruling APC to immediately withdraw all its candidates from contesting for any elective position in the 2023 general elections.

LP, therefore, called on all Nigerians “to join hands and support Peter Obi’s hope and peace-assuring Presidency in LP,” adding, “We must vote against the sick, the elderly and tired ancient men and the known and worldwide published treasury thieves to invest our votes in Peter Obi, the Obidient Obi in LP.”

The full text of the LP statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Arabambi Oluwafemi Abayomi, read:

Its an undisputed fact that in the first four months of the year 2022 by the Buhari Govt ‘s revelation through the Budget and Planning Ministry , they admitted that the cost of debt servicing by the same stealing Govt has surpassed its revenue in the 4 months under review.

Remarkably, the clueless and confused APC Govt spent a total of N4.2 trillion between January and April 2022 from the earmarked N17.32trillion for the whole year .

In these same four months, a sum of N285bn was earned as oil revenue, this represents a shortfall of 60.9% of the prorated figure of N730.12bn, this is even in spite of the marked rally in crude oil prices in these four months when the Government unabashedly retarded APC Govt casually mentioned that oil production declined to let the oil revenue fall short of projection.

It sounds very irritating, painful and annoying to keep hearing this dying and failed APC Govt repeatedly claiming that the untenable , questionable & unverifiable oil subsidy deductions was responsible with the twin criminal excuse of the inability to increase oil production was responsible for failure at meeting the projected target of revenue growth in the 4 months.

The dishonest and lying APC probably forgot that in 2021 it spent N4.22 trillion on debt servicing which was an increase of 29.3% over over the sum of N3.27 triln spent for the same purpose in 2020 while the revenue only increased by a marginal 9.3 % to N4.39 trillion revenue and in the last 16months APC led Buhari Administration has spent a whooping sum of N6.16TRN

The Director-General of the Debt Management Office (DMO), Mrs. Patience Oniha confirmed that Nigeria’s total public debt stock representing domestic and external debt stock profile as at March, 2022 stood at N41. 60 trillion and N42.84TRN ($103.31billion as at June 30,2022 , dividing that by 200 million Nigerians including 50million yet unborn totalling 250m population explicitly confirmed that every Nigerians as at June 30th 2022 is indebited to the tune of N170,000 naira each

Meanwhile , it meet and it is worth putting on record that though the LP Presidential Candidate , the irrepressible and vibrant Obi Peter has for a long while been submitting at many forums that the Govt’s borrowing must be at statutory 5% of the previous year’s revenue but the highly clueless and grossly incompetent APC confused and rudderless Government at every juncture ignored the wise counsel of the erudite and vibrant Peter Obi.

It is necessary at this juncture for NIGERIANS to immediately join the cry for the demand for the resignation of the APC from the seat of Government now that it is not in doubt that it has finally ruined a substantial part of the future of Nigeria with its avoidable act of running the Country into INSOLVENCY.

The growing cluelessness of the APC in it’s incompetent management of the Country’s econony is easily observed from the silly and unending oil subsidy deductions choreographed calculated scam .

One can simply ask how much it cost Dangote to establish the about to begin operation oil refinery was built at a cost of $15bn .

The Pacific refinery in Ecuador cost $12bn with a capacity to refine 500,000 barrels per day (bpd).”

AL ZOUR REFINERY in Kwait was built at a cost of $16bn with a production capacity of 615 ,000 barrels per day.

Compare the foregoing against Nigeria with two / three refineries and a refining average capacity of 1.2 million of crude oil per day, how comfortable are you fellow Citizens ? .

Do you still think if Nigeria is under the rule and Govt of a competent and capable Party like the LP that is recognized for its proven commitment and brilliant capacity , this our over abused Nation will have any business importing fuel with the hidden agenda of blind stealing from the proceeds of oil in the name of subsidy ? .

Presently, this same thieves in Governance, APC are yet proposing #6.7 trillion to fund the carefully hidden agenda called subsidy .

At exchange the $6.7 trillion is equivalent to $15.6 bn This is against the 2023 Budget . However what will blow your mind is that the Government is planning to yet borrow #11 trillion to support the 2023 Budget expenses.
Fellow Citizens, the painful truth is that #11 trillion can build from scratch ,2 good refineries for the Country.

Unless we , the being wickedly mortgaged Nigerians as a collective pull resources and worth together to influence a change quickly in the political leadership of the Country , it won’t be long when Nigeria will be turned into an extinct Nation by the APC .

The key is to join hands and support Peter Obi’s hope and peace assuring Presidency in LP . We must vote against the sick , the early and tired ancient men and the known and world wide published treasury thief to invest our votes in Peter ” the Obedient Obi in LP .

LP has chosen to advise APC to immediately withdraw all it’s Candidates from the 2023 elections and safe itself the embarrassment of repeated public lies and falsehood that has become its main character in Government.

APC without any doubt must be convinced beyond all doubts at this point by itself that the die has been cast and Nigerians are determined to vote right to a Presidential Candidate they trust as they keep growing support for the Presidency of Peter Obi in LP.

No responsible Nigerian will try to insult his/ her integrity by either secretly or publicly try to canvas votes for the APC with its record of ethnic bigotry , official rascality and unheard of incompetence and shameful cluelessness.

How far can a Government go with criminally- inclined lies and falsehood before the engine of its evil catches up with it ?.For the ever dishonest APC through the NNPC at this point start another futile attempt at lying publicly by still claiming even now that it daily subsidizes fuel consumption in the Country by a mind aching and boggling warping sum of #3.4 trillion is a scam gone awry .

LP finds this very difficult to digest. In spite of the killer – evidences on ground ,it is the height of crass irresponsibility for the NNPC to yet make this embarrassingly pathetic claim .

It is now clear that APC has gone beyond a point where it can start to repent . It is so insulting and unintelligent.

Nigeria now must be sure that the APC led Federal Government is bent on finally and completely running Nigeria into irreversible poverty, want and misery .

There is no way to doubt that a thorough and true inspection, examination and verification of the accounts of the Nation’s treasury will return a verdict of insolvency on Nigeria. No one should now be hesitant in becoming part of the political struggle to send APC out of Goverment if it fails to resign honourably right now.

Finally and for the record, the Minister of Finance and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, said with impunity, executive rascality and malfeasance that the APC led Federal Government will borrow over N11trillion and sell national assets to finance the budget deficit in 2023. She also said the government’s budget deficit is expected to exceed N12.42 trillion while appearing before the House of Representatives Committee on Finance to defend the 2023-2025 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP).

The damming verdict from clueless and grossly incompetent minister was that the loan proposals have budget deficits far above the stipulated threshold in the Fiscal Responsibility Act

In view of this deliberate infractions, divisiveness wickedness and Lawlessness,Labour Party here by call for the immediate withdrawal of all APC candidates from the 2023 General Election so that NIGERIA will not go into final extinction
